Reham, ‘Farhan Virk’ indulge in war of words

Published on: June 20, 2018 3:58 PM

Reham Khan on Tuesday took to Twitter to commend Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif for crossing the London streets like a normal man.

Former Journalist Reham Khan, in her tweet, stated that there is a new level of respect for Shahbaz if it was really him and not his look-alike on the street.

The video shared by Reham, showed Shehbaz Sharif crossing the road without any protocol.

If this is real & not a lookalike then there is a new level of respect for this man. What a normal thing to do! No badshahat clearly pic.twitter.com/WTfNmwgxvM

The tweet, however, stirred a controversy on the social media as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI)  social media activist Farhan Khan Virk responded to the message by tagging Shehbaz’s wife Tehmina Durrani and asking her to be careful.

Reham irked by Farhan’s response, tweeted that his suggestions were as “disgusting” as her being linked with him.

Farhan I have treated you like a brother and son albeit misguided.
Your suggestion is as disgusting as someone linking me with you.
Don't sell your soul like this. https://t.co/J9ppC95iHP

A series of tweets were seen as the two passed comments.

However, later on, Farhan in a tweet clarified that the account was of a fan rather than of the PTI social activist himself.
