PPP unscathed by ‘old’ tactics, says Khuhro

Published on: July 10, 2018 7:56 PM

LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Chief Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Tuesday said that ‘old’ tactics were being used against the party leadership to pressurise them but nobody including workers will come under pressure and democracy will be defended at all costs.

Khuhro said party leadership has already faced many cases and came out clean-handed and unabashed. He claimed that their opponents have gone ‘mad’ after massive election campaign by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the Seraiki belt.

The PPP leader said that those who were saying that the party has gone ‘down the drain’ have been given a convincing answer by Bilawal’s huge welcome by the voters and supporters. Khuhro said if opponents have no fear from the people’s power then why were they creating hurdles in the way of the party’s campaign.

He alleged that PTI has become a safe heaven for flip-floppers and corrupt elements whereas GDA is a group of Sindh’s enemies and political ‘Nosar Baz’ whose agenda is to keep people away  from their right to rule by deceiving and shedding crocodile tears, adding that their real faces have been exposed now.

Khuhro said that on July 25, people will close the chapter of PPP’s rivals and the party will come out with flying colours. He said that those who were not allowing workers to meet Benazir Bhutto in the past are now talking against PPP adding that even those have come together on GDA platform who were not even ready to see each other’s faces.

He further claimed that election day will be the political death day of their opponents.
