Bilawal dismisses election results, says will sit in opposition

Published on: July 27, 2018 10:58 PM

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari dismissed elections 2018 results on Friday, saying that the polls were not fair and transparent.

Speaking to a press conference on Friday, Bilawal dismissed the results of elections 2018. He added that he would, despite unfair and rigged elections, sit in the opposition.

“I will sit in the opposition and set an example for everyone to see how an opposition works,” Bilawal stated.

Earlier today, an all parties conference, headed by PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman, also rejected elections 2018 results terming the polls as ‘rigged’.

“This is not people’s mandate, this is a mandate which has been stolen,” Fazlur Rehman said while addressing the media outside F-8 sector of Islamabad.

It was also announced that all parties, except for the PML-N, have refused to take oath and that the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will lead a movement against ‘rigging’ during the elections.
