Sergio Ramos equals Lionel Messi’s goal-scoring record

Published on: August 28, 2018 4:29 PM

Who would have thought that a central-defender, out of all footballers in the world, would equal one goal-scoring record set by superstar Lionel Messi.

Nothing is impossible, however.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos equaled Barcelona counterpart Lionel Messi’s record of scoring at least one-goal in Spain’s top divison for a 15th season running.

With his penalty goal against Girona in the second match-day of the Spanish Premiera Division, Ramos equaled the record that was set by Messi at match-day 1.

Ramos scored his first goal against Real Sociedad in September 2004, when he was just 18-year-old at Sevilla FC.

And who could forget Messi’s first league goal, which was assisted by Barcelona legend Ronaldinho when Messi was just 17-years-old.
