KARACHI: Provisional Minister of Sindh for Works and Services Nasir Hussain Shah has denied horse-trading claims of Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) leader Taimur Talpur in senate polls.
Recently, Taimur Talpur alleged that some members of the other party had sold their votes to PPP in the senate elections.
Nasir Shah said that Talpur’s statement was nothing but an illusion and that the PPP does not believe in this practice.
The minister said that PPP received more votes in senate elections. If members of some parties were not happy with the decision of their parties or elected candidate and decided to vote for the PPP then it is not PPP’s fault, he added.
Shah further stated that accusing PPP of purchasing vote through money is an insult to the people of Sindh.
Taimur Talpur said “senate elections witnessed horse-trading and the members sold their votes were also sitting in the House.”
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued notices to the Taimur Talpur to appear before it on October 4.
