Sarfraz Ahmed will remain captain till World Cup 2019: Ehsan Mani

Published on: November 14, 2018 8:28 PM

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani on Wednesday has confirmed that Sarfraz Ahmed will remain the captain of Pakistan cricket team till the upcoming World Cup 2019.

Talking to media men, the PCB Chairman said that there is no controversy regarding the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed and every time it is created by the media itself.

Ehsan Mani told that PCB is in contact with the Indian Cricket Board for the restoration of cricket. He said that BCCI has shown interest in playing with Pakistan, but he is not expecting any positive sign in this regard before the next election in India.

In an answer to a question, the PCB chairman stated that everyone in the PCB is accountable and answerable.

“Even I am accountable in PCB. There is no one in PCB who is not accountable. We will make everything transparent and there will be nothing to hide. I will publish my expenses every quarter. I am answerable to every stakeholder,” he said.

The chairman also confirmed that the final match of the upcoming fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019 will be held in Karachi. Last year’s final was also played at National Stadium Karachi, where Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi to win the title for the second time.
