Pakistan Dominates Day 1 of the 3rd Test

The final test of the three-match series started today in Abu Dhabi. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first. WER Somerville was making his test debut for New Zealand while Shaheen Shah Afridi made his debut for Pakistan. Pakistan dominated all the three sessions of day 1 and limited the New Zealand batting unit to a total of 229 for the loss of 7 wickets.

The skipper Kane Williamsone played a well-constructed innings of 89 runs but then he was given a send off by Hassan Ali. BJ Watling is still struggling on the crease with a fighting innings of 42 runs of 180 balls. Apart from them, no other batsman was able to sustain against the strong Pakistan bowling unit.

Yasir Shah again dominated with three wickets under his name. Bilal Asif got two wickets while Hassan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi had one wicket each.

Pakistani bowlers were on target. New Zealand team showed a bit struggle but still the day 1 belongs to team Pakistan.
