Published on: April 7, 2019 3:03 AM

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday wrote a letter to ATC’s administrative judge regarding the transfer of the Chinese Consulate attack case from court premises at Clifton to the prison for jail trial of suspects. The Sindh home department has issued a notification in this regard for the jail trial of suspects in the Chinese consulate attack case. A copy of the notification was received by ATC that has been hearing the case and it wrote a letter to the ATCs’ administrative judge in this regard. The notification reads, the case is being transferred to the Central Jail of Karachi for the trial of the suspects due to its sensitive nature. The notification further reads that bringing five alleged facilitators of the Chinese consulate attackers to the ATC in Clifton for the trial proceedings is a security threat.
