Authorities have arrested 33 alleged extortionists, while four suspects were killed in police encounters. Despite this, traders say organized networks continue operations. Industrial zones like Korangi remain particularly vulnerable, with factory owners living under constant fear.
Business leaders warned that extortion networks may be funneling funds abroad. They urged the Sindh governor, chief minister, police, and Rangers to create a joint strategy to dismantle these groups. Traders pledged full cooperation with authorities to restore safety.
