Pakistan Warns Afghanistan to Avoid Interference in Internal Affairs

Published on: October 14, 2025 6:41 AM

Pakistan has urged Kabul to respect Pakistan Afghanistan relations and avoid comments on its internal matters. The Foreign Office issued this statement after Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid criticized Pakistan’s police action against the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protest in Muridke.

Earlier, Mujahid expressed sorrow over the deaths during the clashes between police and protesters. He said the demonstrations were within Pakistan’s legal framework and urged the government to stop violence against citizens. His statement called for resolving issues through dialogue and understanding, which Pakistan viewed as interference.

In response, Pakistan’s Foreign Office firmly reminded Afghanistan to focus on its own internal challenges. It stated that international diplomatic norms demand non-interference in the domestic affairs of other countries. Pakistan also emphasized that it does not need outside advice on how to manage its internal issues.

The FO further urged Kabul to honor its commitments under the Doha Process. It warned Afghanistan not to allow its soil to be used for terrorist activities against other countries. Islamabad also advised Kabul to form an inclusive and representative government instead of spreading baseless propaganda.
