LAHORE — Punjab authorities claim to have located Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi and his brother Anas in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), after they reportedly fled following the Muridke crackdown.
According to officials, Punjab police and other law enforcement agencies traced the duo’s movements after they were seen leaving the TLP protest camp on a motorbike. Their last known location was found in AJK, and authorities there have been asked to assist in their arrest.

The Punjab government has also moved to formally ban TLP and sent a summary to the federal government. Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has traced around 95 bank accounts linked to Saad Rizvi, including 15 interest-bearing ones, as part of an ongoing investigation into the party’s finances.

In a parallel move, the Punjab government identified 61 seminaries operated by TLP across the province. Officials are considering two options for their future — placing them under the Auqaf Department or handing them over to moderate Sunni clerics. In Multan, authorities sealed 10 TLP seminaries and transferred several to the Auqaf Department as part of the broader operation against the group.
