Gwyneth Paltrow hits stage with Holly Williams at Grand Ole Opry 100-Year celebration
NASHVILLE: Gwyneth Paltrow surprised fans as she joined country singer Holly Williams and musician Chris Coleman on stage at the Grand Ole Opry’s 100-Year celebration on Thursday, November 20. The 53-year-old actress impressed the audience with her musical talent during the star-studded event.

Williams, introducing Paltrow, joked with the crowd: “Can y’all believe your luck? Y’all are used to those Nashville guests, but not those Oscar-winning Hollywood guests.” Together, the trio performed Williams’ 2013 hit Drinkin’ before moving on to Waiting on June, a heartfelt song inspired by Williams’ maternal grandparents, who were farmers in Louisiana.

After the performance, Williams gushed about Paltrow, saying, “Isn’t it annoying when they can just do everything and they just walk out looking all like that, right? Looking real good.” She also recalled meeting Paltrow years ago and discovering her “secret voice,” which she fell in love with immediately.

The two share a long-standing musical connection. Paltrow, who portrayed a country singer in the 2010 film Country Strong, has previously named Holly Williams as one of her favorite country artists, praising the soulful emotion in her music.

The performance marked a memorable highlight of the Grand Ole Opry’s centennial celebrations, blending Hollywood glamour with authentic country charm.
