Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police said the perpetrators of yesterday’s suicide attack on the Federal Constabulary (FC) Headquarters in Peshawar are likely Afghan citizens. Three personnel were martyred and 12 others injured in the attack. Authorities have launched a full investigation to track facilitators and support networks behind the incident.
The attack began when a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the FC entrance. Security personnel responded quickly and killed two accomplices before they could enter. The swift action prevented further damage and limited civilian and personnel casualties.

Inspector General Zulfiqar Hameed said authorities identified the location where the terrorists stayed before the attack. CCTV footage of their arrival has been obtained. Nadra is verifying the attackers’ identities to confirm their nationality.
Police also recovered the terrorists’ motorcycle and collected fingerprints for forensic investigation. Officials are tracing the route the assailants used to enter Peshawar. Measures taken recently by KP Police, including anti-drone systems and bulletproof equipment, have strengthened security.
