KP Assembly lauds security forces for thwarting FC headquarter attack

Published on: November 26, 2025 1:52 AM

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly with Speaker Babar Salim Swati in chair here Tuesday lauded Federal Constabulary and Security Forces for thwarting terror act on FC headquarter and prayed for eternal peace of the martyred security personnel.

Opening the general debate on law and order in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Dr. Amjad condemned the terrorist attack on the FC headquarters and prayed for the eternal peace of martyrs.

He said police was equipped to frustrate nefarious designs of terrorists.

He said dialogue was best option for durable peace in KP.

The debate on law and order in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly revolved around political accusations, rising threats of terrorism, and discussions on public hardships.

Members demanded immediate solutions to longstanding issues. MPA Sardar Shahjahan said that all those who are martyred while fighting terrorism are Pakistanis. He said those who attacked the FC headquarters could not be called Pakistanis. He added that the security of the country requires not only the institutions but also society to play its proactive role against terrorism.

Ajab Gul expressed concern over increasing incidents of terrorism in the KP and the migration of youth abroad, saying that everyone knows who is responsible for the present problems. MPA Jalal Khan criticized the KP government lackluster approach against terrorism, saying those who once marched on Islamabad how can they now demand rights?”

He also demanded accountability for the 500 billion rupees allocated under the War on Terror fund to PTI Govt and said that peace requires focus on education, employment, and eliminating poverty.

Member Riaz Khan said that progress and peace are linked with rule of law.

Law Minister Aftab Alam appreciated the Speaker’s efforts to convene the Peace Jirga, hoping the security institutions will act upon the jirga’s declaration.

During the debate, the opposition pointed out the lack of quorum, upon which the panel of chairmen adjourned the session until Monday.
