Bilawal hails China-Pakistan economic ties

Published on: December 9, 2025 4:54 PM

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari praised the role of traders in improving Pakistan’s economy. He said countries like China are working with Pakistan. Bilawal emphasized that the business community must help increase exports and strengthen economic growth.

Addressing industrialists and traders in Lahore, he said Pakistan’s exports are rising significantly. He urged traders to make extra efforts to boost exports further. Bilawal noted that collaboration with China provides opportunities to improve Pakistan’s economic position globally.

He criticized previous governments for trying to run the economy through force. Instead, he said, the economy should be managed with care and encouragement. Bilawal also highlighted the importance of digitalization in the Federal Board of Revenue system for transparency.

Bilawal mentioned Sindh’s performance has improved compared to other provinces. After the 18th amendment, provinces collected sales tax on services together, increasing revenue. He said all provinces must support the federal government to resolve national economic challenges.

He spoke about electricity for the poor, noting his party’s manifesto promised 200 free units. Bilawal suggested converting free units to solar energy gradually as a green solution. He assured the public that electricity problems will be reduced in a sustainable way.
