GUJRAT — The Centre for Media & Communication Studies (CMCS) hosted a vibrant dual exhibition at Hafiz Hayat Campus of the University of Gujrat on Tuesday, where students presented Public Relations and Advertising campaign designs alongside innovative ‘online journalism’ projects.
The exhibitions brough together creativity and technology, reflecting how future media professionals are blending traditional communication strategies with emerging digital platforms.
Organized by BS 3rd Semester students under the supervision of Dr Rukhsana Riaz, the campaign design and advertising projects exhibition featured projects ranging from social awareness initiatives to brand promotion. Posters, mock-ups, and strategic communication plans demonstrated the students’ ability to merge creativity with professional communication techniques.
Meanwhile, BS 5th Semester students, guided by Miss Moazma Fiaz, unveiled websites covering departmental platforms and lifestyle niches such as clothing and cosmetics. These projects highlighted skills in web design, content development and digital publishing, enabling students to apply theory to practice.
“These exhibitions reflect the spirit of CMCS—where students are encouraged to experiment, innovate and connect theory with practice,” said Dr Rukhsana Riaz. Students echoed this enthusiasm, noting how the projects built confidence and practical skills.
The exhibitions concluded with lively discussions, underscoring CMCS’s commitment to nurturing communicators and digital storytellers ready to meet industry challenges.
