The modest house is located in Peshawar’s iconic Qissa Khwani Bazaar area and is believed to be the birthplace of SRK’s father, Meer Taj Mohammad Khan. The visuals, shared by Pakistani content creator Laraib Explores on Instagram, show narrow lanes, closely packed buildings, and the characteristic architecture of old Peshawar.

Reports indicate that Shah Rukh Khan spent part of his teenage years visiting the house during holidays from Delhi. His first cousin, Noor Jahan, still resides there and has reportedly visited Mumbai twice to meet the actor. SRK has previously spoken fondly about these trips and has expressed a wish to take his own children to see the city where his father grew up.

According to sources, Khan visited the Peshawar home with his father at the ages of 13 and 15 during the late 1980s. The house, while modest, represents a poignant connection to a pre-partition past and memories of family gatherings.

The area is also historically significant for Bollywood fans, as it is home to the ancestral haveli of legendary actor Dilip Kumar, now recognized as a national heritage site in Pakistan.

The renewed attention on SRK’s roots underscores the actor’s enduring popularity and the fascination fans hold with his personal history. The viral video has sparked conversations online about migration, memory, and the shared cultural heritage between India and Pakistan.
