CDF Munir links Pakistan’s security to UAE stability

Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed that the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates are integral to Pakistan’s own security during a meeting in Abu Dhabi on Monday. He said the enduring partnership reflects deep historical ties and shared strategic interests. The statement underscores Islamabad’s push to strengthen defence, economic, and regional cooperation with the Gulf nation.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the Chief of Army Staff met Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor. The meeting took place in Abu Dhabi and focused on enhancing bilateral collaboration. Both sides discussed expanding cooperation in security, investment, and economic development.

The two leaders also exchanged views on evolving regional developments. They stressed continued coordination to promote peace and stability across the region. Moreover, they agreed that close consultation remains vital amid shifting geopolitical dynamics.

Field Marshal Munir expressed gratitude to the UAE government for its longstanding investments in Pakistan. He acknowledged the Gulf state’s continued support for Pakistan’s economy and security over the decades. He said such assistance demonstrates the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two nations.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment, Munir said both countries would pursue joint efforts to strengthen cooperation in all sectors. He emphasized that the partnership serves the mutual interests of both peoples. The visit reflects ongoing high-level engagements aimed at boosting strategic and economic ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
