
A major peace jirga between Pakistan and Afghanistan will take place in Peshawar on March 31, aiming to promote dialogue and develop a joint framework for peace and stability between the two neighboring countries. Organizers say the gathering will encourage cooperation and reduce rising tensions that have strained relations in recent months.
The jirga is being organized under the auspices of Aspire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Qaumi Islahi Tehreek. Officials said the forum will bring together influential figures from both sides to discuss practical steps that can help strengthen trust and support long-term peace efforts.
