In a post on X, Ali Dar stated, “Ishaq Dar sahib, despite sustaining an injury during the reception of the Egyptian Foreign Minister today, completed all highly important meetings throughout the day on painkillers, Alhamdulillah, in the best possible manner.”

Following the conclusion of his official duties around 9 pm, a medical examination confirmed a hairline fracture in his shoulder. Pain management and precautionary measures will be followed in the coming days, Ali Dar added, thanking supporters for their prayers and well-wishes.

The incident occurred amid a high-level quadrilateral meeting in Islamabad, bringing together foreign ministers from  Saudi Arabia, Turkey to end hostilities in the Gulf region, addressing the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran, which has now completed its first month and raised concerns about wider spillover and disruption to global energy supplies.

During the consultations, the ministers expressed deep concern over the devastating impact of the war on lives and livelihoods, stressing that continued conflict benefits no one and only leads to destruction. They reaffirmed the need for an immediate ceasefire, emphasized unity among Muslim nations, and supported Pakistan’s efforts to create conditions for structured negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

The meeting highlighted Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic role in seeking regional stability, even amid unforeseen challenges such as the minister’s injury.
