
Pakistan Navy was fully prepared to target the Indian aircraft carrier during Operation Haq, Admiral Naveed Ashraf said. He emphasized that any attempt to challenge Pakistan’s maritime interests will be met with a strong response. The statement came during the induction ceremony of the second PNS Khyber into the Navy fleet.
Admiral Ashraf highlighted Pakistan’s strategic location along major maritime trade and energy routes, stressing the need for a powerful naval force. He said the Indian Navy remained confined to its own perceived safe zones during the operation, avoiding direct engagement.

The naval chief stated that the Pakistan Navy is being equipped with advanced platforms and specialized technologies capable of targeting enemy infrastructure, weaknesses, and maritime assets. These upgrades significantly enhance the country’s ability to defend its waters effectively.
He described PNS Khyber’s addition and upcoming Hangor-class submarines as milestones in modernizing Pakistan’s naval capabilities. Admiral Ashraf praised the crew and reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding national maritime boundaries.
