The high-stakes US Iran Talks Islamabad ended without any agreement, as US Vice President JD Vance announced the Inconclusive of negotiations after extended discussions.
Speaking at a press briefing in Islamabad, Vance confirmed that despite 21 hours of continuous dialogue, both sides could not reach a final deal. He described the outcome as disappointing, particularly for Iran.
Vance emphasized that the United States had presented what he called a “final and best offer.” However, Iran declined to accept key conditions, especially those related to its nuclear program and long-term commitments.
The US delegation made it clear that preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons remains its top priority. According to Vance, Iran must provide credible assurances that it has no intention of pursuing nuclear weapons capabilities.

Although the talks included progress on some issues, major differences remained unresolved. Vance stated that the US had clearly outlined its red lines and areas where compromise was not possible.
He also thanked Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir for facilitating the discussions and providing strong diplomatic support during the negotiations.
Following the failed talks, the US delegation departed for Washington, leaving the possibility open for Iran to respond to the proposed framework in the future.
