Pakistan hopeful on Iran US talks progress

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed optimism about positive progress in Iran–United States negotiations. The statement came during a federal cabinet meeting chaired in Islamabad. The meeting reviewed the country’s political, economic, and security situation. Officials were briefed on Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating talks.

According to sources, the prime minister informed cabinet members about Pakistan’s efforts in bringing Iran and the United States to the negotiating table. He said it was a significant achievement to bring both sides together after decades. He added that Pakistan remains hopeful for constructive outcomes from the dialogue process.

The prime minister said Pakistan’s role in facilitating the talks reflects its commitment to regional peace. He stressed that diplomatic engagement is essential for long-term stability. Cabinet members appreciated the efforts of the prime minister in supporting the negotiations. They also praised the contributions of the deputy prime minister and the army leadership. Officials noted that coordinated efforts helped advance dialogue between the parties. The government highlighted unity in foreign policy efforts.
