The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain, dust storms, and thunderstorms across the country’s upper regions from June 2 to June 5. The weather system matters because it may trigger flash floods, landslides, and damage to vulnerable structures. Residents, farmers, travelers, and local authorities in several provinces are expected to be affected.
According to the PMD, a westerly weather system is approaching northern parts of the country and will influence weather conditions over the coming days. The department expects scattered thunderstorms and rainfall in many areas of Punjab and Islamabad. Some locations may also experience heavy downpours and hailstorms during the forecast period.
