Gold prices decrease by Rs 4,400 per tola

The prices of gold declined in the local market on Monday, with 24 karat gold per tola shedding Rs4,400 to settle at Rs 471,762 compared to Rs476,162 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold decreased by Rs 3,773 to Rs 404,459 from Rs 408,232, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold fell by Rs 3,459 to Rs 370,767 against Rs 374,226. In the international market, the price of gold decreased by $44 to $4,494 per ounce from $4,538. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 46 to Rs 8,059, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 40 to Rs 6,909. The price of silver in the international market increased by $0.46 to $75.75 per ounce, the association reported.
