Kuwait has praised Pakistan’s efforts to facilitate engagement between Iran and the United States amid ongoing regional tensions. The acknowledgment matters because diplomatic initiatives could help reduce conflict and improve stability. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah commended Pakistan’s continued mediatory role. The remarks came during a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar. Kuwait described Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement as a constructive contribution to regional peace and security.

During the discussion, both leaders reviewed evolving regional and international developments. Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for diplomacy and sustained dialogue as the preferred route to peace. The two sides also expressed hope that ongoing diplomatic initiatives would produce positive results. They emphasized the importance of a durable settlement and agreed to maintain close coordination. Meanwhile, Iran is reviewing a proposed agreement with the United States aimed at ending hostilities. Iranian media reported that discussions on the draft proposal are continuing in Tehran. More than three months after US and Israeli strikes on Iran, the conflict remains unresolved. Indirect negotiations have yet to secure a breakthrough, while disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz continue to raise concerns over regional security and global energy supplies.
