Pakistanis are blaming this guy for the Islamabad protests, and it’s serious

Published on: November 30, 2017 7:48 PM

The Faizabad sit-in which slowly and gradually wreaked havoc on the entire nation and paralyzed the country by causing it to come to a standstill, paved way for major inconvenience to hundreds of locals trying to make life work in their daily day to days.

And trust us Pakistanis to come up with something on a long string of ‘absurdities’ to take the blame for all the wrong things happening to us and around us.

Here’s your scapegoat, the man behind all the protests, the popular ‘American’ celebrity/yahoodi agent who called upon the entire fiasco: Oscar winner, Leonardo Di Caprio.

Three cheers for the dumb call all Pakistanis!

The rumor sprang up on social media when a Facebook page uploaded a picture of the megastar followed by unequivocal claims of users referring him to the likes of an American officer who directed the TLP and TLY protestors to act on his behalf.

Sordid cries of public ‘laanats’ were sent out to The Revenant actor. Here are a few screenshots for your viewing pleasure:

Of all the conspiracy theories behind Faizabad, amongst those that pinned the blame on the army and those that invoked it as a grand strategy by the PML-N to win sympathy ahead of the elections etc, we personally believe this one to be the most intriguing to fall for.

Kudos to the sheer stupidity of our people for giving obnoxious credit to someone based solely on their good looks.

We can now hang our head in shame.
