The Sindh Government has set a target of collecting Rs380 million in the upcoming fiscal year through fines imposed under anti-hoarding and price control operations, reflecting a sharp increase of 218% compared to FY2024-25.
According to official estimates, the revenue will be generated through intensified action against profiteering, price gouging, and stockpiling of essential commodities across Sindh during the 365-day period of the next financial year.
The projected recovery translates to approximately Rs1 million per day and over Rs30 million per month, making it one of the key non-tax revenue streams planned under the province’s enforcement regime.
Officials said the revised estimate for the current fiscal year has been significantly lower, while the upcoming target reflects a major upward adjustment in enforcement-driven revenue collection from market inspections and penalties on violators.
