Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said negotiations on a final agreement will not begin if threats continue. He stressed that all parties must respect the terms of the existing memorandum of understanding. His remarks come amid continued diplomatic efforts over Iran’s nuclear programme.
In a statement posted on social media, Araghchi said millions of Iranians demonstrated unity by attending the funeral of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He added that neither the Iranian people nor the country’s armed forces would be intimidated by threats. He said national unity remains strong despite external pressure.

Araghchi said Clause 13 of the memorandum of understanding clearly outlines the conditions for future negotiations. He stated that formal talks on a final agreement cannot begin while threats persist. He emphasized that diplomacy requires adherence to previously agreed commitments.

The Iranian foreign minister also urged all parties to honour their signatures and commitments. He said trust and mutual respect are essential for meaningful negotiations. He added that pressure and threats cannot produce lasting diplomatic progress.
