Rupee almost remains stable against dollar

The Rupee on Tuesday appreciated by 1 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading and closed at Rs 278.10 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 278.11. According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 279.00 and Rs 279.20, respectively. The price of the Euro against the rupee increased by Rs 0.15 and closed at Rs 317.85 from the previous day’s closing of Rs317.70, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.71, whereas the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed a surge of Rs 0.90 and closed at Rs 372.05 compared to the previous day’s Rs 371.15. The exchange rates of the Emirate Dirham went up by 1 paisa and closed at Rs 75.72, and the Saudi Riyal stood stagnant to close at Rs74.06.
