Zakharova accused the government of Volodymyr Zelenskyy of increasing attacks on Russian civilian areas and critical infrastructure. She alleged that Ukrainian forces had intensified operations against non-military targets in recent days. Ukraine has not immediately responded to these specific allegations.

According to her, the objective was to secure additional military support from Ukraine’s international allies. She argued that continued attacks were intended to strengthen Ukraine’s case for further weapons supplies.
