A delegation of officers of the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) undertook a two-day visit to the Supreme Court of Pakistan as part of Chief Justice of AJK Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan’s vision to enhance institutional capacity and strengthen professional cooperation between judicial institutions.

“During the visit, the delegation met Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of institutional collaboration, professional development, and the exchange of best practices”, reported by APP correspondent on Thursday.

“He highlighted that effective judicial administration and the timely delivery of justice to the public require close coordination and continuous cooperation among judicial institutions”, according to the correspondent.

The delegation received a detailed briefing on the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s ongoing reform agenda, which focuses on establishing a citizen-centric, technology-driven, transparent, and efficient justice system.

The delegation was apprised of key initiatives, including e-filing, video-link hearings, digital case management, the National Judicial Analytics Dashboard, the Public Facilitation Centre, and other modern technological reforms aimed at improving judicial services.

As part of the visit, the delegation also reviewed administrative and judicial operations at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and toured the Public Facilitation Centre, the Supreme Court Museum, and the Information Technology Directorate.

The AJK Supreme Court delegation appreciated the reform measures and technological advancements introduced by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and expressed its commitment to enhancing institutional cooperation in areas such as digital issuance of court records, case management, and other administrative functions.

The visit also highlighted Chief Justice of AJK Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan’s vision of aligning the judiciary with modern requirements to ensure accessible, efficient, and timely justice for the public.
