Noreen Niazi, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, submitted an initial written response to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Monday. The response followed a notice over her remarks during a recent interview. The inquiry relates to comments about Operation Marka-e-Haq.
According to her lawyer, Faisal Malik, Niazi learned about the notice through social media on Monday morning. Her legal team then filed a preliminary reply with the NCCIA. The agency has directed her to appear in person on Tuesday.

Malik said the defense requested a copy of any complaint filed against Niazi. Additionally, the legal team asked the NCCIA to specify the legal provisions supporting the notice. They also sought four weeks to submit a detailed response.
According to Malik, Niazi maintains that she respects all state institutions. He quoted her as saying she would never act in a way that harms Pakistan’s reputation. However, he added that she would not be able to appear before the NCCIA on Tuesday.
The NCCIA issued the notice under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Therefore, Niazi was asked to record her statement at the Cyber Crime Reporting Centre in Islamabad. The notice also warned of legal consequences for non-compliance under Section 174 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Meanwhile, the inquiry follows remarks Niazi made during an interview on a YouTube channel. She alleged that Operation Marka-e-Haq involved cooperation between the Pakistan Army and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She also made claims regarding Israel and regional diplomatic developments.
The NCCIA has not publicly announced the next stage of the inquiry. Meanwhile, Niazi’s legal team is awaiting further details from the agency. The case continues under the ongoing cybercrime investigation process.
