Pakistani forces kill three Indian soldiers in retaliatory firing

Published on: January 4, 2018 6:44 PM

LAHORE: Indian army violated once again the ceasefire and targeted the innocent civilians in  Zafarwal Sector on Thursday, said a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In retaliatory firing, one Indian soldier was killed and other three were wounded.

The befitting response to the Indian aggression silenced the enemy’s guns, the statement further said.

It was the first incident of ceasefire violation by the Indian troops in 2018

India breached the ceasefire agreement on more than 1,300 occasions in last year and at least 52 civilians have lost their lives, while 175 have been injured.

The firing incidents at the Line of Control have been increased since Narendra Modi took prime minister office in India.
