Another minor found dead in Kasur

Published on: January 11, 2018 6:28 PM

LAHORE: As the country is mourning the brutal death of an eight-year-old girl Zainab, another body of a minor boy has been recovered from a field in Kasur after allegedly being raped.

The six-grade student, Sharq alias Boby, had gone missing three days ago when he was on his way to school.

Today, his body was found in the sugar cane fields of a village, Dholan Chak 27, near Patoki, Kasur.

The parents of the boy have accused the police of not taking timely action despite being repeatedly asked for the recovery of their son.

It was suspected that the boy was raped before being strangled to death. However, the body has been shifted to a hospital for postmortem to ascertain the claim.

The incident has taken place when the city is already observing shutter down strike demanding justice for  Zainab.

Enraged protesters besieged the civil hospital and chanted slogans against the administration while also blocking the traffic.

High court bar association in Islamabad also announced strike and condemned the incident. The lawyers will not be attending the judicial proceedings today.
