ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has on Wednesday rejected former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s plea yet again to merger all the three graft cases against him.
According to details, Nawaz Sharif had requested the court to merge the graft cases against him, including Al-Azizia Steel Mills case, Avenfield Properties case and Flagship Investments case. The request was earlier rejected by the lower courts, upon which Sharif had moved SC for the same.

Though his plea was rejected by Registrar initially, the case was eventually taken up by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar. However, he too upheld the objections raised by Registrar and rejected the petition.
The former premier is currently facing the cases in the accountability court that were filed upon SC’s orders after he was disqualified in the Panama Leaks case on July 28, 2017.
