Khabib on why he did not ‘smesh’ McGregor in Russia

When asked about why he didn’t confront Conor McGregor while he was in Russia, Khabib said that Russians are hospitable people and it was not the right time.

“Russians are hospitable people. Me and Conor were at the same place, but it was not the right time. Maybe if there was an octagon inside the stadium, we could do something, because right now, we are not in a position to street fight,” Khabib said.

He added that he did not see a reason to approach McGregor because he was there to enjoy football, and perhaps, he believes, the Irishman was too.
