3rd ODI: Imam’s ton helps Pakistan to set 318-run target for South Africa

CENTURION: Pakistan set 318-run target for South Africa in the 3rd ODI at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Friday.

In the first innings of the match Pakistan managed to score 317 for the loss of six wickets. After losing Fakhar Zaman Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam played sensibly for 132-run partnership for second wicket.

Imam’s ton Babar’s 69 and Hafeez’s fifty helped Pakistan to scored 317 runs in the third ODI.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa .

The five-match ODI series is levelled at 1-1 with both the teams hoping to take a lead.

Pakistan beat South Africa in the first ODI at St George’s Park as Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez set up a five-wicket win, but South Africa bounced back in the next ODI in Durban with Hendrick ‘Rassie’ van der Dussen and Andile Phehlukwayo securing a series-levelling win at Kingsmead.

South Africa and Pakistan have clashed five times at Centurion. The Proteas have won three matches, while Pakistan have won the other two.
