Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has decided to amend its existing examination system to enhance the credibility and the worth of the credentials issued under its distance-learning programmes. These amendments are likely to be introduced from Spring 2019 semester. Necessary work to the effect is already underway on the initiative launched by AIOU Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Zia-ul-Qayyum. The newly amended system would be based on the smart use of new technology. The tutorial system is to be amended accordingly. Meanwhile, it has been announced that the final exams (autumn 2018) of various programs would begin in Rawalpindi-Islamabad and other parts of the country on April 22.
