Rocket attack targets Pakistani PM’s aide Mubarak Zeb’s home in Bajaur

Published on: June 14, 2025 5:16 PM

In Bajaur, militants launched a rocket at Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s aide Mubarak Zeb’s residence. This attack is the second on his home within a month. The previous attack involved a homemade explosive device that caused minor damage.

The rocket hit a neighboring house’s wall but damaged Mubarak Zeb’s home walls and main gate. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Police confirmed the incident and are investigating.

Mubarak Zeb confirmed the attack on social media. He thanked God no one was injured and said militants attacked his home again at night. The attacks have caused fear among local residents.

District Police Officer Waqas Rafiq said authorities have started a search operation to catch the attackers. Police are working to ensure security and prevent further incidents in the area.

The violence comes amid other recent attacks in Bajaur, including mortar shelling from Afghanistan that killed one person and injured three others. In April, mortar shells and a roadside bomb targeted civilians and security forces, increasing tensions in the region.
