Maryam Nawaz unveils plans for train, free green line bus in Murree

Published on: October 1, 2025 5:02 PM

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz unveiled major projects to improve tourism in Murree. She announced a new train service and 15 buses for tourists. Additionally, a green line bus will run free for students, women, and senior citizens. Maryam said these steps will reduce private vehicle use and ease travel to Murree. She expressed confidence that these projects will transform Murree into a top tourist destination.

Maryam also shared progress on the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center in Murree. The center has started operations and completed angiography on five patients. Soon, the center will offer cardiac surgeries to help local residents. Furthermore, a new hospital with modern facilities will open in Bhurban. These health improvements aim to benefit both Murree and nearby areas like Galiyat.

Moreover, Murree now has separate police, health, and education departments from Rawalpindi. This change will improve local administration and services. Maryam highlighted ongoing road construction and a major water supply project. She also praised the “Clean Punjab” campaign for improving sanitation in Murree. These projects will enhance living conditions and make the area more appealing for visitors.

Maryam criticized those who make empty promises without action. She stressed that her government completes projects instead of just announcing them. Despite floods, her team worked hard and showed visible results. Maryam said, “Real work speaks louder than silence.” She emphasized that Punjab’s progress continues steadily despite challenges.
