PM Shehbaz to visit Russia for SCO summit in November

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Russia in November. He will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting. The summit will gather leaders from all SCO member countries. Pakistan will be represented by PM Shehbaz, who is scheduled to deliver a key address.

According to official sources, Shehbaz Sharif will focus on boosting economic and trade ties. He will highlight Pakistan’s interest in deeper cooperation within the region. The prime minister is expected to speak about investment, connectivity, and regional growth. His speech will reflect Pakistan’s broader diplomatic goals.

During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Russian leaders. These discussions will center on energy, trade, and economic collaboration. Russia and Pakistan have recently shown interest in enhancing energy partnerships. Talks may include pipeline projects and oil imports. The SCO platform provides a chance for both sides to expand strategic understanding. Pakistan is expected to push for balanced regional development.
