Alhamra screens ‘Spirited Away’

The Lahore Arts Council continues its mission to provide quality entertainment at no cost to the public, reaffirming its commitment to cultural enrichment and accessibility.

Through its Film Club screenings, Alhamra offers citizens of Lahore the chance to experience cinematic brilliance from around the world in an inspiring, creative environment. This gesture reflects how deeply Alhamra values and nurtures its audiences.

The screening of “Spirited Away”, the Oscar-winning Japanese animated film directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki, captivated viewers at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall. The film, rich in fantasy and symbolism, tells the story of a young girl’s journey through a magical realm, a tale of courage, transformation, and self-discovery. Its visual grandeur and profound message about humanity, nature, and identity left audiences mesmerized, offering a meaningful glimpse into the universal language of art and emotion.

Chairman Alhamra Razi Ahmed said, “Films like Spirited Away remind us that art transcends borders, connecting hearts through imagination and empathy.” Executive Director Alhamra Mahboob Alam stated that “Alhamra Film Club is dedicated to cultivating cinematic literacy and providing audiences with artistic experiences that are both enriching and inspiring.”
