Pakistan rejects Indian media’s false claims about sending troops to Gaza

Pakistan rejects Indian media's false propaganda, clarifies stance on Israel

ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Friday strongly rejected a false report aired by an Indian television channel claiming that Pakistan plans to send 20,000 troops to Gaza under Western and Israeli supervision.

In a statement, the ministry described the claims by India’s Republic TV as “baseless propaganda” and part of a broader campaign to malign Pakistan through fabricated stories. The report also falsely alleged that Pakistan had removed the “non-use for Israel” clause from its passports — a claim the government firmly denied.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that Pakistan has never recognized Israel, nor is any form of military cooperation with it under consideration. The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports also confirmed that the clause restricting travel to Israel remains intact on all Pakistani passports.

The Information Ministry reiterated that Pakistan’s position on Israel is clear and consistent — the country continues to stand firmly with Palestine and its right to self-determination. It added that such false narratives by “godi media” are intended to undermine Pakistan’s principled stance on key international issues.
