
BIRMINGHAM – American singer-songwriter Benson Boone cancelled his concert in Birmingham, England, just an hour before showtime on Saturday, citing illness.
In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, the Beautiful Things singer apologised to his fans, explaining that his throat condition had worsened despite his efforts to recover. “I have tried everything I can to revive my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now,” he wrote.

Boone added that his team was already working to find a new date for the rescheduled show. “This is genuinely the crappiest feeling. I am so sorry. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you,” he said.
The Utilita Arena Birmingham also confirmed the last-minute cancellation, issuing an apology for the short notice and inconvenience caused to fans. “We understand how disappointing this is and sincerely apologise… management is working through all possible options to reschedule,” the statement read.

Boone has not yet confirmed whether he will proceed with his upcoming three London concerts scheduled to begin Monday, marking the final leg of his UK tour.
