Pakistan stuns Kuwait with last-ball Super Sixes win

Pakistan beat Kuwait by 4 wickets in Hong Kong Super Sixes opener
HONG KONG: Pakistan secured a thrilling victory over Kuwait in their opening match of the Hong Kong Super Sixes Tournament, winning by 4 wickets off the final ball.

Kuwait had set a target of 124 runs in their 6 overs, losing just two wickets. Pakistan’s chase proved tense, as they too lost two wickets but managed to reach the target with only one ball to spare.

Captain Abbas Afridi played a match-winning innings, scoring an unbeaten 55 runs off just 12 balls. He notably hit six sixes in a single over, dramatically turning the match in Pakistan’s favour.

On the bowling side, both Maaz Sadaqat and Abbas Afridi contributed with a wicket each, helping restrict Kuwait and set up the victory.

The win provides a strong start for Pakistan in the tournament, boosting team morale as they aim to continue their dominant run in the Hong Kong Super Sixes.
