Pakistani film ‘Love Guru’ shines at World Culture Festival 2025

Culture festival witnesses dance, workshops, film screenings on 9th day
KARACHI – The ninth day of the World Culture Festival 2025 burst with color, rhythm and creativity as audiences enjoyed dance workshops, film screenings and theatrical performances celebrating global diversity.

The day’s highlight was the screening of the Pakistani romantic comedy Love Guru, directed by Nadeem Baig and produced by Irfan Malik, which captivated the crowd with its humor, emotion and charm, adding a touch of Pakistani cinema to the international lineup.

Festivities began with an energetic dance workshop led by Colombia’s Cayena Colfolk troupe, where participants of all ages eagerly learned traditional Colombian dance moves, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere.

As evening fell, American artist and director Gillan Rhodes enthralled audiences with his mysterious and thought-provoking play Searching for Pierrot. The production transported viewers to Bohemian Paris, exploring the world of pantomimes and the bittersweet contrast between joy and hidden sorrow.

The day reflected the festival’s true spirit — blending cultures, art forms and emotions to celebrate humanity’s shared love for creativity and expression.
