
ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said Afghanistan supports terrorism while India backs Kabul. He confirmed Afghan nationals were behind recent attacks. He vowed Pakistan will track and eliminate all terrorist elements.
Khawaja Asif addressed the media in Islamabad, highlighting Afghan involvement in both recent attacks, including the Islamabad blast. He criticized Kabul for not taking responsibility despite repeated warnings. The minister stressed that Pakistan has credible evidence of Afghanistan’s role in facilitating terrorism.

He further accused India of supporting Afghanistan in these actions, claiming regional powers are aiding militants to destabilize Pakistan. Khawaja Asif said this backing threatens peace and security in Pakistan and the wider region. He urged the international community to recognize these facts.
The minister emphasized Pakistan’s resolve, saying, “We have won wars before and we will defeat terrorism as well.” He assured citizens that authorities will pursue attackers to the farthest corners of the earth. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to safeguard its people and borders.

Finally, Khawaja Asif confirmed ongoing counter-terrorism operations will continue until all responsible elements are held accountable. He called for national unity and vigilance while warning that no terrorist will escape Pakistan’s justice.
