UMT achieves another global milestone

Published on: November 22, 2025 2:36 AM

The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has added another prestigious accomplishment to its name by securing the 184th position in the Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone for Pakistan’s private higher education sector, reaffirming UMT’s strong academic direction, research excellence and global competitiveness.

Under the visionary leadership of President and Chairman UMT Ibrahim Hasan Murad, the University has made exceptional progress in research, teaching and interdisciplinary scholarship. Extending heartfelt congratulations to the UMT community, faculty, researchers and students, Ibrahim Hasan Murad said that the University’s upward trajectory in global rankings reflects UMT’s sustainable research policies, innovative academic environment and effective strategic direction. UMT is proudly representing Pakistan on the global stage through its commitment to research and innovation, he added.

Ibrahim Murad further stated that this recognition is redefining the standard of higher education in Pakistan. “Institutions rise to global prominence through the right direction, strong vision and research rooted in hard work and impact. UMT will continue to advance further in international rankings in the coming years, Murad said.

THE’s Interdisciplinary Science Rankings evaluate universities based on research quality, teaching innovation, international collaboration, academic influence and other key performance indicators. UMT attained the highest scores among all private universities in Pakistan particularly in Inputs and Process categories, strengthening its standing among leading global institutions.
