Jazz has launched a nationwide rollout of free BISP SIMs for two million women. The move follows the prime minister’s directive to expand digital access and support a cashless economy. Most SIMs come pre-linked with JazzCash wallets to help women who remain outside the formal financial system. The company aims to bring vulnerable recipients into safe and convenient digital payments.
The initiative provides 1.7 million SIMs already connected to mobile wallets. This setup allows beneficiaries to receive payments directly without handling physical cash. Officials said the transition reduces risks and prevents exploitation by middlemen. They also noted that digital transfers make transactions more secure and transparent.

The rollout supports the government’s wider shift from cash-based assistance to digital disbursements. Under the new model, eligible BISP women will receive free SIMs linked to JazzCash. This step ensures that beneficiaries can withdraw funds safely and use basic financial services. The system aims to improve access to payments for women who lack banking support.
Jazz representatives said they are prepared to scale the programme as demand grows. They emphasised that digital wallets offer beneficiaries more control over their money. The company added that secure transfers will increase financial inclusion across rural and urban areas. The model also reduces administrative hurdles in distributing aid.
